Problem: When searching in the main del.icio.us search bar, it only searches for the title and the description and doesn't pull up the tags that we have posted. When searching for the tag with the underscore, the full tag must be searched for. Will not find a partial tag. Solution: Have not found one yet. Can find the tagged page when I search for the full tag in the search bar on the top left of the http://del.icio.us/tag/ page.
Problem: Cannot find tags when searching in the del.icio.us search bar, even though the tags are set to public by default. Solution: None yet. But, this is information on this subject that I found at the del.icio.us site:
Private and public bookmarks
Bookmarks saved with your buttons are public by default, but imported bookmarks are private by default. If you see "not shared" next to a bookmark, that means it is a private bookmark and only you can see it. Note: if you're logged out, you won't be able to see your private bookmarks either.
To change a private bookmark to public (so that everyone else can see it), click the "share" link next to it.

To change a public bookmark to private, first enable private saving in your settings. Then edit your bookmark, check the do not share box, and save it. While saving a new bookmark, you can also check the do not share box to make that bookmark private.
Deligoo
I found an interesting plug in that merges Google's search engine with del.icio.us. It is a browser plug in for Mozilla and Internet Explorer. It searches through your bookmarks that you have in your del.icio.us account. You can download it from: http://www.deligoo.com/en/
Problem: When searching in the main del.icio.us search bar, it will not search the tags for the pages we have bookmarked. This is what the "Searching hints" page (http://del.icio.us/help/search) says: "You can use the search box on the top right corner of most del.icio.us pages to find what you're looking for within your bookmarks, all of del.icio.us, or the web. The search engine goes through bookmark descriptions, notes, and tags." Yet, it does not search through our tags.
Solution: None yet.

I have set up a few documents with tags WACTC eLearning Handout . When I do a search in the search bar on the top right side of every page for these tags, I find nothing. Your searching hints page says "You can use the search box on the top right corner of most del.icio.us pages to find what you're looking for within your bookmarks, all of del.icio.us, or the web. The search engine goes through bookmark descriptions, notes, and tags." But yet, when I search for the tags that I have set up, they do not get searched. I can find the bookmarked documents by searching for their titles, but not when I search for the tags and I want to be able to search for the tags. I also cannot find the bookmarked page by doing a Google search for that tag. Do you know why Google would not find that tag in del.icio.us? Thanks for the help.
